Alba and her siblings came to LAWS from an outdoor colony, which means we were her very first introduction to the world of humans. Because of her background, Alba finds her courage through her feline friends. She is extremely social with other cats and simply does not have the confidence yet to be an only cat. For this reason, we are requesting that she be adopted into a home with existing friendly cats, or even better—adopted alongside her foster-mate, Milano! They make a pretty adorable matched pair. Despite her shy start, Alba is making wonderful progress in her foster home. She has a very sweet soul and has discovered that life with humans has some major perks: She is a master of treat puzzle boards, using her dainty paws to efficiently scoop out every snack. She absolutely loves being hand-fed treats and receiving rump scritches. She plays with wand toys with total abandon—playtime is the fastest way to this girls heart! Alba takes her cues from the other cats in her environment. If she sees a confident resident cat interacting with you, she learns quickly that you are a Friend to Cats! With a gentle, patient adopter who is willing to let her bloom in her own time, Alba will become a steadfast and loving companion. Alba would do best in a quieter home without children. She loves being petted and will even curl up next to your leg, but she currently prefers not to be picked up or lap held. We suspect she may come around to snuggles eventually given her sweet nature.
