Meet Charlie Charlie has spent most of his life seeing the world through a blur — literally. This sweet senior boy lived for years with his eyelashes growing inward, causing him constant discomfort he never once complained about. Since coming to the shelter, Charlie finally received the surgery he deserved, and for the first time in a long time, he can see the world clearly. And what a world he has to look forward to! Now that Charlie can fully take in his surroundings, he makes the most of every moment. You'll find him stretched out in a sunny window, watching birds and squirrels with great intensity, or padding softly behind you from room to room like your own personal shadow. This guy loves his people — he'll greet you at the door like an excited pup, curl up in your lap without hesitation, and remind you every single day that you are his favorite thing. Charlie is the kind of cat who fills a home with warmth and quiet companionship. He's affectionate without being demanding, and social without being chaotic. He does best in a busy but calm household, where there's plenty of activity to keep him engaged but a peaceful atmosphere where he can feel safe and settled. He'll do well with older children, though he'd prefer to be the only four-legged resident — other cats aren't really his thing. Oh, and don't forget the wet food. Charlie has opinions about mealtime. Charlie is neutered and fully up to date on all vaccinations, so he's ready to walk straight into his forever home and start living his best life — with eyes wide open.
