About Gracie
Gracie is a sweet young Pit Bull Terrier with short, velvet-soft, blue-gray fur and a gentle spirit shaped by her early life on the streets of Texas. She spent her first years wary of people, but has steadily blossomed in her foster home, showing flashes of playfulness and a new trust around those she knows. Gracie delights in trotting around with her favorite toys and, when she’s tired, curling up for a cozy nap pressed against you. Her energy hovers on the lower side of medium—she’s happy to play, but downtime is just as important. She’s leash trained and walks well, adapting to new routines with the help of other dogs. She gets along well with dogs of all sizes and even gains confidence from canine companions, so a home with another dog would be ideal for her. Gracie avoids younger children but does fine with calm, older kids. While she hasn't met cats, there isn't concern about her adjusting in a home with one. She’s not crate trained but handles being left in a room without trouble. Visitors and new faces can overwhelm her, so a quieter home with minimal company helps her confidence grow. With a patient adopter ready to help her blossom, Gracie’s affection is well worth the wait. And if you ever need guidance, her sister’s behavior consultant mom is happy to support her next chapter. Questions about Gracie
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Pit Bull Terriers like Gracie tend to do best in homes where they have structure and plenty of opportunities for socialization. A quiet environment with consistent routines helps Gracie feel safe and continue building trust.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Gracie, as a Pit Bull Terrier, enjoys having access to a securely fenced outdoor space to play and stretch her legs. Daily walks and time outdoors are important, but she’s equally happy to curl up inside after some playtime.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Pit Bull Terriers are often affectionate with children, and Gracie in particular does well with calm, older kids. She tends to shy away from younger, high-energy children, so a home with kids aged 10 and up would suit her best.
