Meet Mel! Mel is a young cattle dog/retriever mix with a lively, energetic personality. Cattle dogs are known for their alertness and strong work ethic, while retrievers tend to be social, friendly, and eager to learn-making this mix both intelligent and engaging. She will thrive with regular exercise and activities that keep her mind busy. Mel is still growing and learning, so consistent guidance and structure will help her channel her energy in positive ways. With the right balance of activity and training, she has the potential to develop into a well-rounded and devoted companion. The shelter is open Tuesday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A meet-and-greet is required for all shelter dogs if you already have a dog.
