Why choose me? Update: Chili's friend and kennel mate, Ennie, was adopted, so I took her outside with Bruno who she'd also come to the shelter with. They were happy to be together, and Chili want Bruno to play and playfully bumped him and then grabbed a ball and rolled over on her back. Hoping they'd chase the ball, I threw it, and to my surprise Chili ran to fetch it. She brought it back, and we played round after round of fetch. She would have kept going, but I ended our game not wanting her to overdo it. I was amazed--she's 12 years old and still loves playing fetch! * * * Chili and Ennie came to the shelter with Bruno. They're all sweet, gentle dogs. Sadly, their owner passed away. The girls share a kennel, and both were happy to be leashed and walk outside. I put Bruno in the interaction pen next to the girls, and they were glad to see each other. Chili liked lounging in the sun while Ennie did a little exploring. They both like treats and being loved on. They're medium-sized dogs and were easy to walk together though Chili was so excited to be outside that she pulled a bit to lead the way. They're good-natured seniors who were happy to enjoy the day (and treats!) with a friend.
