Phil is a gentle 6‑year‑old boy who survived life as a stray and arrived with painful injuries to his front paws. Thanks to treatment, he’s healing beautifully and is now finishing his antibiotics. His eyes may look a little sad, but his heart is pure sweetness—he loves being petted and would make a wonderfully affectionate companion. Phil will need to be an indoor‑only cat to keep him safe and healthy. Phil also happens to be FIV‑positive, but this doesn’t stop him from living a long, happy life with the right care. FIV isn’t contagious through everyday cat behaviors and is no longer considered a barrier to adoption. What Phil needs most is someone with a big heart who can see past the label and appreciate the loving, resilient boy he is. Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) isn’t a scary diagnosis—it’s simply a part of who some cats are. FIV‑positive cats can live long, happy, completely normal lives with the same love and care any cat needs: a safe indoor home, good food, and regular vet checkups. The virus is slow‑acting, and many FIV+ cats show no symptoms for years.
