Iris is a 5-year-old Chow Chow who came to PCAS as a stray in January 2026. She weighs about 50 lbs and has a calm, independent personality. Iris enjoys her personal space but does appreciate attention on her terms. She knows how to sit and even “speak” when asked, especially if treats are involved. She may take a little time to warm up, so multiple meet-and-greets will help her feel comfortable and build trust. She could do well in a home with older, respectful children who understand her need for space. Once she knows you, Iris is a loyal companion who enjoys walks, treats, and simply spending time by your side.
