About Jessie The Catwheel Sprinter!

Hello there, friend- Thanks for stopping by! We want to introduce you to Jessie- An adventurous girl who loves to play all day long and nuzzle you to thank you for the fun day! She likes to touch noses and smell your face when you get back home. She is confident, loving, affectionate, playful and thankful to be living a safe life after being rescued as a feral kitten born out in the orchards of Parkdale, Oregon near Mt Hood. She was rescued with her brother Woody and 4 other kittens at a site of 30+ feral cats. One of her favorite activities is to run on her big cat wheel either sprinting on her own or running next to her brother Woody! She loves to take naps on the top level of the cat tree or hiding in a little nook. She really enjoys the ribbon wand and will get the zoomies trying to catch it! She is adventurous and curious, and is not afraid to explore new spaces. She is very much like the character from Toy Story, who she was named after due to her independence, spirited, loyal and loving personality. Jessie is spayed, has received her first year rabies vaccine, 3 series of kitten FVRCP vaccines, been dewormed 3-4 times and think she was born around early October 2025 based on her weight and vet assessments. Jessie was lucky to have been rescued along side one of her brothers, Woody; they both faced some of the harshest conditions born as feral kittens entering the fall season near the base of Mt. Hood. Due to them being rescued together and tamed for domestication alongside one another, they have endured growth together that has bonded them. Our goal is for Jessie to be adopted with her bonded pair and brother Woody. We hope to find families that will keep in touch with Hobbes Haven and update us with pictures and videos of our rescued angels! Remember that many times we have been fostering these kittens for many months, and that is another reason you know Hobbes Haven is a good hearted organization to support, because our goal is to find the RIGHT homes NOT a home RIGHT NOW. Here at Hobbes Haven we focus on supporting the health and well being of feral and stray cat colonies via T-N-R-M; during out initial visits to a site, if we encounter kittens or cats young enough or friendly enough to domesticate, we rescue them from those sites and work with them directly to get them healthy and ready for a second chance at a life as a part of a family and a home. Our rescued cats and kittens are unique being that they were born as feral cats, meaning the time it took to domesticate them may have been more involved than others. When you support Hobbes Haven via your adoption and donations, you are helping a bigger ripple effect, because you are supporting existing feral cat colonies stop their cycle of suffering by getting all cats sterilized and vaccinated, but also offering a very rare second chance to a few lucky ones. At Hobbes Haven, your adoption fee helps us cover this kitten's sterilization, rabies vaccination and testing for FeLV at our collaborating veterinary clinics here in the Columbia River Gorge, this is a transparent one to one transaction, absolutely no revenue is made from this. Up to the point of adoption, Hobbes Haven has covered FVRCP vaccines (most of the time 3 our of 3 of the first kitten series), deworming, antifungal bath, veterinary treatment for ailments as kittens, food, cat supplies, etc- this is why your donations matter and help make a difference!
