At around a year old, Lucille is a bright, spirited and deeply charming companion. She has a naturally social and affectionate nature, often greeting her people with soft purrs, gentle nudges for attention and the occasional sweet face kiss. She enjoys curling up in a cozy lap when she's ready to relax, especially after spending time playing, exploring, or simply keeping a watchful eye on her surroundings. Lucille is also quite clever. She's learned her name, likes to follow her people from room to room and picks up on new routines quickly. In her foster home, she even figured out how to use a cat door just by watching her feline friends a few times. Lucille would do best in a home with someone who appreciates a cat with a confident personality and understands feline body language. She tends to prefer affection on her own terms and isn't the biggest fan of being picked up, so a quieter home without small children would likely suit her best. She can coexist with dogs and tends to be quite curious about them. Lucille is confident and comfortable expressing her boundaries and while she may occasionally try to engage a bit more than some dogs might prefer, she generally settles well with patient, respectful canine companions who are comfortable around cats. Lucille enjoys the company of other cats-especially those who either share her playful energy or are easygoing enough to go with the flow. Lucille is a truly special girl with a big heart and a fun, lively spirit. In the right home, she will make a wonderful, devoted companion and bring so much warmth and personality to everyday life.
