Meet Red, a young Chihuahua mix searching for a very special forever home. At about 3 years old and weighing around 10 pounds, Red came to A Forever Home Animal Rescue after being rescued from a challenging hoarding situation. He arrived with several other dogs, scared and unsocialized, completely unfamiliar with what it means to be loved and cared for. While others in his group have made significant progress, Red remains the most fearful. He has learned that people provide food, safety, and kindness, but still struggles with trust and isn't yet comfortable being handled. This little guy needs an exceptionally patient adopter who understands that building a relationship with him will take time and consistency. Red's story is one of hope; he learns a little more about the world every day and deserves a home where he can continue this journey at his own pace. The right family will celebrate even his smallest victories and understand that earning Red's trust will take time. He is heartworm negative, neutered, vaccinated, and ready to find his loving home.
