AvailableAbout Sissie Jane Sunshine
Easygoing, affectionate, and happiest right by your side… this is Sissie Jane. She’s the kind of dog who settles into your routine quickly and makes herself part of it in the most natural, easy way. Go watch her in action on YouTube, then come right back to read more about this sweet, snuggly girl. https://youtu.be/VKvt_w6CGS0 <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/VKvt_w6CGS0?si=2SbW3X7kbSSxmU3O" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe> Sissie Jane is currently fostered in a loving home where she’s been soaking up the good life, and it shows. She’s what we like to call a “low-energy babe with a playful streak,” meaning she’s just as happy lounging in a sunny patch of grass as she is bouncing around playing chase with her dog friends. Toss a ball, and she’s in. Settle in on the couch, and she’s already curled up beside you. She absolutely adores her people. Sissie Jane is a close-by kind of companion, the one who follows you from room to room just to be near. She hands out kisses freely (no location is off limits), happily accepts belly rubs, and leans all the way into affection like it’s her favorite hobby… because it is. Blankets, cuddles, and cozy crate time? Yes, please. In her foster home, she’s been wonderful with other dogs. She plays, she socializes, and most importantly, she respects their boundaries, which is such a lovely quality to see. While she’s always had a dog sibling, her gentle, people-focused nature suggests she could likely thrive as your one-and-only too, soaking up all the love for herself. She’s also a smart little cookie. Sissie Jane already knows “sit,” “stay,” and “come,” and she’s very treat motivated, which makes learning with her feel fun and easy. She’s responsive, eager to please, and takes guidance well. Her foster even shared she’s very easy to redirect, making her a great fit for someone who enjoys a dog that wants to work with them. A few of her favorite things? Sunbathing like it’s a full-time job, playing ball, chewing on sticks (the bigger, the better), and proudly using the doggie door like a seasoned pro. She also has a bit of a quirky side, she’ll happily eat from a spoon or fork if you’re offering, which somehow makes her even more endearing. Sissie Jane loves everyone she meets, men, women, kids, she greets the world with a happy, open heart. She does get a little nervous around loud lawn equipment and can experience some car sickness, but those are small, manageable things in the grand picture of who she is. If you’re looking for a dog who brings a soft kind of joy, the kind that shows up in quiet companionship, warm snuggles, and little moments of play, Sissie Jane might just be your girl.
