Like… “carry her around everywhere without even noticing” tiny. She’s the perfect size for couch cuddles, car rides, and being your built-in little sidekick for whatever the day brings. Her personality? Pure sweetness. Matilda absolutely loves her people and quickly becomes your little shadow, following you from room to room just to be near you. She has this adorable way of showing her love. She’ll dance for you when she’s happy, like her own little celebration that you exist. And once she chooses you as her person, that’s it… you’re hers. She has a way of making you feel special just by the way she looks at you and wants to be close. And can we talk about her face for a second? That tiny little underbite where her bottom teeth peek out from time to time? It’s ridiculously cute and adds so much character. She’s one of those dogs where every little expression makes you smile. Matilda is crate trained and potty trained, which makes her an easy addition to a home. She’s not chaotic or overwhelming, she’s just a sweet, steady little companion who wants to be part of your everyday life. She is easy to walk on a leash too and enjoys going on leisurely evening strolls. She’s also dog friendly and surprisingly confident for her size. She has been around dogs much bigger than her and does just fine. She’s not overly playful with other dogs and is more of a “respect my space and we’re good” kind of girl. If a dog gets a little too in her face, she’ll politely (and sometimes hilariously) remind them to mind their manners. Watching this tiny 9 lb queen put a much bigger dog in their place is honestly a little iconic. She’s not mean, just a lady who knows her boundaries. Matilda would do well either as your one-and-only little princess or with a calm, respectful dog who understands her vibe. She’s not looking for chaos or constant play, she’s looking for connection, comfort, and her person. Matilda also met our house cat Biggie and met him appropriately and was very respectful around him. She did not chase Biggie, nor was she bothered by Biggie jumping or doing what cats do. Biggie also felt comfortable around her as well. We do not know if she has ever lived in a home before with a cat and this was our first time seeing her with a cat.
