About Rye Sweet As Pie
Rye Sweet As Pie lives up to his name. He brings a bundle of happiness wherever he goes and radiates light with that wide, goofy grin. His golden tan fur and long legs give him the look of a slightly unruly Lab mix, though you might spot a hint of something else in the mix—but that’s just a guess. Still young, Rye clocks in at about a year and a half old and around 56 lbs, with a little room to fill out. Rye is equal parts silly and affectionate: the sort of dog who dives in for snuggles, leans in for two-paw hugs, and throws in his best imitation of a marriage proposal when he wants to feel closer. He genuinely loves people, greeting everyone with enthusiasm and a readiness to be friends. Rye can get a little jumpy when happy, but he learns fast—he already knows sitting is much better than bouncing for attention. He does great with other dogs, especially calm, confident ones, and is polite when meeting cats. Rye is also gentle and loving with kids, showing a sweet temperament even with the youngest humans. He’s house trained, vaccinated, and neutered, and will make a wonderful addition to a family that can give him structure, exercise, and quality time. Give him a few finishing touches on leash skills and you’ll have a loving, social, slightly-dopey best friend for adventures and chill times alike. Ready to fall in love?
