She loves treats—like, truly loves them—and she lights up when training is involved. “Sit” is already in her skill set, especially if you’ve got a snack in hand. It’s where her intelligence really shines. She wants to learn, she wants to please, and she definitely wants the reward that follows. Because of how much she values food, she’d do best in a home where feeding routines are managed thoughtfully so everyone can relax and feel secure. Minnie did meet a house cat during her evaluation, and she was very interested—maybe a little too interested. Because of that curiosity and intensity, a cat-free home would be the best fit for her. She hasn’t been tested with children yet, but given her gentle, affectionate nature and her love for people in general, she has all the signs of being a wonderful family dog. She’s the kind of dog who would likely adore kids, especially ones who enjoy snuggling and being part of her very large cuddle circle. She walks beautifully and stays tuned in without being overly reactive or difficult to manage. She’s steady, calm, and enjoyable to take places.
