About Anya

Anya is a young brown tabby with short, plush fur, around 7 months old as of early March 2026. She started life in a feral cat colony in Zion but was pulled at a young age and quickly showed she’s gentle and docile, even when nervous. Anya’s personality leans sweet and meek; she tends to watch from the sidelines instead of being the first to greet you, but she relaxes and enjoys petting and being held once she’s comfortable. She’s playful in a laid-back way—she’ll go for toys, but isn’t a wild ball of energy, which makes her a nice fit for homes with calmer or senior cats looking for a mellow new buddy. Anya is getting used to her foster’s Australian Shepherd, but due to her shy side, only quiet, cat-savvy dogs with very gradual introductions are advised. She appears comfortable with older, gentle children, but a bustling toddler home may overwhelm her. Click apply to start the adoption process.
