Meet Abby! She is a very sweet and cuddly 9 year old tabby who was left behind when her owner passed away and was left in the care of their son. He recently came into a clinic to put her down due to not wanting to deal with her. The clinic staff refused to put Abby down and one staff member brought her home to find her a rescue. Home For Life responded quickly vis Snap't to help take care of her and help her find her forever home. Abby goes crazy for scratches and loves being brushed. She has the sweetest voice and will come up to you and lay with you. She is a little bit shy at first and takes some time to get used to new environments. But loves to meet new friends and will purr up a storm if you scratch behind her ears. At the foster home she was introduced to other cats and was wary to meet them. Abby has not been introduced to dogs or children at foster. Would recommend a low activity household and will need time to get used to new environments and other animals. She is currently not a very active cat and is overweight so we are working on helping get her to a healthier weight. She has been loving chasing pom poms and likes wand toys combined with a low calorie diet she is doing very well. Abby is thankfully healthy despite what her prior owners thought. She has tested negative for Feline leukemia, Feline immunovirus (FIV), Heartworm, Intestinal parasites and had a good blood workup. Abby has been vaccinated against rabies and started the distemper series. Abby is spayed and has a micro chip already.
