About Florence
Florence is a young Catahoula Leopard Dog and Australian Shepherd mix, spayed, deaf, and already showing impressive intelligence and spirit. At about 18 weeks old, she’s soaking up new experiences and quickly picking up basic skills—including sitting for treats and coming when called with a hand signal. Her white and cream coat gives her a striking look, and she weighs in at 33 lbs and growing quickly. She gets along well with other dogs, often looking to them for cues and companionship. A home with another dog is strongly preferred, and Florence enjoys playtime, especially in the water. She’s best suited for households with older or dog-savvy children, as her playful energy and special needs require attentive handling. Potty training is going very well, but she hasn’t been fully crate trained yet, as she currently uses a pen setup. Florence is motivated by positive attention, enjoys outdoor exploration, and will thrive in a patient, committed home willing to continue her training. Because she’s deaf and may have some light sensitivity, she will need understanding adopters able to meet her unique needs. Florence is based in Grove City, OH, and waiting for someone special to continue her journey. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
