At Sumter County Animal Services, all adoption fees are currently waived and every dog is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Each pet receives heartworm and flea prevention during their stay, and as an added benefit for Sumter County residents, a free County tag is included with your adoption. All pets are available on a first come, first served basis after adoption approval. You may view our adoptable animals in person during open hours—no application is needed to come visit, but completing one is required to proceed with adoption.
