Once you've found your perfect companion, just fill out an application to continue the process. All adoption fees are currently waived, making it the perfect time to welcome a new friend into your home. Your adopted dog comes fully prepared for a happy, healthy life—vaccinated for rabies and other common diseases, spayed or neutered, microchipped, and protected against heartworm and fleas. Dogs are also tested for heartworm disease, and Sumter County residents receive a free County tag for their new pet. Adoption and fostering appointments are available every day, or you can walk in during open hours to meet lovable pets waiting for their forever families.
