Aruba is a shy senior and reportedly really liked the adults in her last home but wasn't especially into little kids, so older kids who understand her boundaries and proper calm behavior around her will be best for her forever home. Aruba is a girl who will benefit greatly from consistency, kindness, and routine. She loves to live a structured and quiet life and will do best in a home that gives her plenty of time to come out of her shell. Aruba did live with a cat in the past who she got along with very well, so she might enjoy having a feline friend in her new home. Aruba is considered to be a special care adoption due to having cystitis, which is inflammation of the bladder. Common symptoms are bloody urine, painful urination, and house-soiling. The exact cause is unknown, but stress can play a significant role; cystitis is rarely caused by an infection.
