About Atlas
Atlas has lived up to his name—resilient, patient, and enduring. Born and raised in a Virginia commuter lot, Atlas grew into a social, people-oriented cat who greets visitors eagerly, always seeking connection. He thrives on ear scratches, brushing, and gentle attention but never demands more than you offer. Atlas prefers being near his person—curled at the foot of the bed or settled by your side—rather than being a lap cat. He’s sharp, too; he figured out how to make his pull-string toy entertaining all on his own and doesn't mind running his own playtime. While he may seem a little shy when first settling in, Atlas opens up quickly, and you'll soon find him lounging with all four paws in the air. Atlas gets along well with people but does not get along with other cats, so he would do best as an only feline. He’s neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV—all ready to take on his next adventure. Now that his current rescuer can no longer keep him, Atlas hopes to find a calm, loving home where he can finally relax for good. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
