About Alley

They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Alley is an incredibly devoted cat whose greatest goal in life is simply to be wherever you are. Rescued just before a harsh DC winter, Alley adapted instantly to indoor comfort and has since become a constant, adoring companion. He’s loyal, intuitive, and even recognizes routine changes like putting on 'adult clothes' — soaking up every bit of your attention before you leave. Alley is also notably social and confident. He’s at home with new faces, welcomes adventure in the hallway, and greets guests with ease. Uniquely leash trained and familiar with some basic dog commands, he's both clever and adaptable! He’s also remarkably tolerant of nail trims and playful dress-up sessions. As long as he’s in your company, Alley will be purring contentedly. When not shadowing your every move or exploring, he finds peace curled up right on your chest, or gently waking you with his morning purrs. Whether he’s leaping up to meet your hand or watching you with complete adoration, Alley stands out as an extraordinary companion ready to be the center of your world. Alley is Feline Leukemia (FeLV) positive, a virus specific to cats and not contagious to people or other animals. Though he isn’t sick now, FeLV can affect the immune system and may lead to a shorter lifespan, but many FeLV+ cats remain healthy and enjoy wonderful lives for years. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
