About Alley
Alley is the kind of cat who wants to be wherever you are. Rescued right before a harsh DC winter, Alley settled into indoor life instantly and has stayed close to his foster ever since. He’s devoted and intuitive—you’ll catch him watching closely when you’re getting dressed for work, knowing you might be heading out soon. Alley is social and outgoing, never shy with visitors and always eager to explore the hallway or try something new. He’s leash trained and even knows a few basic commands usually taught to dogs. Nail trims and being dressed up don’t faze him at all. Expect a cat who will follow you from room to room, curl up on your chest, and gently wake you in the morning with soft purrs. If you move, Alley wants to be there. He’s particularly tolerant and good natured, making him an all-around easy companion. Alley is Feline Leukemia (FeLV) positive, a virus that only affects other cats—not people or other animals. He isn’t sick, just carries the virus, and FeLV+ cats like him can live happily for years, though their expected lifespan may be shorter. If you’re looking for a loyal, interactive friend who can keep up with any adventure—inside or out in the hallway—Alley will not disappoint. Your new best friend is just one click away.
