Red Velvet, the dessert, is a funny thing. It's soft, it's sweet, It appears to be one thing but then tastes like something different. Red Velvet, the cat, is also a funny thing. She is soft, she appears shy, but then is the sweetest thing. She was part of a large TNR effort, but at the time she initially was spayed - she made it known that she did not want to retire to the indoor life. She stayed there through rain, wind, sunshine and all the other weather events. She had a tail injury and had to have part of her tail removed, but yet that wasn't enough to make her want to retire. Seasons came and went. Holidays came and went. And then one day, Red Velvet thought...it's time for me to leave this place onto somewhere else. And then she went. She finds herself here at the Sanctuary looking for the next place. One that she hopes to never leave. She has the taste of the indoors And like the cake, which once you taste leaves you wanting more, that is where we find her now. She wants more of the indoor life, she wants a full belly all the time, she wants all the petting, she wants someone who knows that she will take a little time to feel 100% at home, but once you break open past the cream cheese exterior (we all know it's just not buttercream), it is worth it. She is a very petite little girl with a silly smile from a missing fang. And unlike the cake she won't add extra calories - just extra purrs and cat hair on your clothing. Red Velvet is approximately 5 years old. She is spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped.
