Annie is a sweet, medium-sized mixed breed with a short, apricot and golden coat. She recently arrived in Warren, OH, after being found thin, still nursing, and clearly neglected. Even with all she’s experienced, Annie remains gentle and quiet in her kennel. She’s treat-motivated—understandable, given her past—and while her enthusiasm for snacks can sometimes make her a little mouthy, she responds well to basic commands and loves to give paw. Someone in her past invested time in her, and despite everything, she holds on to that trust. Annie walks calmly on leash and doesn’t seem bothered by the other dogs in the shelter, though she hasn’t had formal introductions. She’s best suited for a home with older, respectful children since she’s still learning to relax and regain her strength.
