What can we say about our beautiful girl… we’re calling her #Annie. Annie was found in Brookfield last week, and it was very clear she had recently had a litter of puppies. She was still engorged… still thin… and clearly hadn’t been cared for the way she deserved. You can tell she’s been through a lot. And yet — she is so very sweet. Annie is quiet in her kennel. She looks to be young as we are usure of her age at this time . Around 50 or so lbs, she walks beautifully on a leash. She is extremely treat motivated (and honestly, who could blame her? It’s clear she’s missed more than a few meals). Because of that, she can be a little mouthy when taking treats, so we are recommending older, respectful children only at this time. The beautiful part? She sits. She gives paw. Someone, somewhere, taught her something. Which tells us that at some point in her life, she was loved. Unfortunately, no one has come forward for her. So now we want to be the ones who make sure the rest of her story is a good one. She doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here, though she has not been formally dog tested. She has not been cat tested. What Annie truly deserves is a home where she never has to worry about her next meal again… where she can gain weight, regain her strength, and grow old knowing she is safe.
