Annie
AvailableAnnie is a large Turkish Van cat with a short gray and white coat, living in Franklinville, NJ. She is a senior, spayed female who is house trained and up to date on vaccinations. Annie has unique needs, including partial deafness, blindness in one eye, and food allergies that require a turkey-only diet. She is quiet and gentle, gets along well with cats and children, and needs someone willing to care for her ears and provide a calm, loving home.
About Annie
Annie’s story starts in 2011, when she came close to death as a sick kitten in Greenwich. Her rescue was nothing short of miraculous, and she has spent many years at a sanctuary until the recent passing of her caregiver. Annie is mostly deaf and has limited sight in one eye, yet she always finds her way to the warmest, kindest lap in the room. She’s a gentle, quiet soul who gets along well with other cats but is largely uninterested in their antics—she wants comfort more than company. Annie’s health needs are well defined: she has food allergies and requires a diet of only turkey protein. Regular ear cleaning is important for her, especially in her crinkled ear, and she occasionally needs medication to keep fungal infections at bay. Despite these requirements, Annie is house trained and easygoing, with a soft spot for affection. She’s suitable for families, and her ideal home offers a peaceful lap and a little patience for her care routine. Give Annie the warmth she’s earned after a life of resilience. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
