Corby
AvailableCorby is a senior male Flat-Coated Retriever with a long black coat, living in Cincinnati, OH. He’s neutered, house trained, and his vaccinations are up to date. Even after all he’s been through, Corby is now healthy and ready for a calm, loving home.
About Corby
Corby’s story is rough—he was left behind in a basement when his previous owners moved out, and nobody knows for sure how long he waited for someone to find him. When new people finally did, he was thin, his coat was a tangled mess, and he’d obviously been on his own for days, maybe weeks. Now, after good meals, regular care, and vet visits, Corby is doing much better. At around ten years old, this Flat-Coated Retriever takes comfort in the quieter moments. He’s been friendly with his foster’s female pittie; the two get along well. Unfortunately, things haven’t clicked with the resident male dog, so Corby’s looking for a home where he isn’t forced into tense situations with other males. He’d do well with another welcoming female dog or as a solo companion, and reportedly gets along with cats. Corby needs a soft place to land and enjoy his golden years in peace.
