About Augie
Click apply to start the adoption process. Meet Augie, a gentle soul who’s experienced more than his share of hardship, yet his spirit remains undimmed. Augie is a 10–12 year old, small cattle dog mix who looks much like a kelpie, weighing in around 25-30 pounds. He was heartbreakingly discovered abandoned outside a PetSmart—thin and with some hair loss, evidence of the tough journey he’s endured. Through it all, Augie has kept his sweet nature intact. He gets along well with other dogs and exudes a calm, kind energy that endears him to everyone he meets. Now, what Augie truly needs is a family to show him the comfort and love he’s always deserved, letting him know his best years are yet to come. Augie has completed his heartworm treatment and is more than ready to embark on the next chapter of his life. He’s currently in Houston, and transport is included with his adoption fee. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
