About Avalon
Avalon is a Lab/Husky mix with a brown, teddy-bear coat and a story built on resilience. She came into rescue after a rough start: left behind as a pup, she suffered injuries that left two of her legs deformed. Amputation loomed, but months of dedicated care and physical therapy let her build up enough strength to make it up north. Her past hasn’t dimmed her spirit at all. Avalon is a goofy, happy soul—tail always wagging, delighted to see you, truly the classic “most dog” dog. She’s been described as the easiest foster her foster family ever had: sweet, calm, gentle, always loving, but still ready to play fetch or crash onto your lap. Cuddles and toys light her up, and she thrives on human company. She absolutely loves running zoomies in a fenced yard, and a home with space to play outside would suit her best. She gets along with dogs and puppies, and shows zero interest in cats—just a quick sniff before moving on. Avalon’s working steadily on crate training and is house trained, though she’ll need routine to keep reinforcing those habits. She’s an absolute cuddle-bug, finding any opportunity to be close, whether it’s the couch, your lap, or tucked under your arm. Avalon’s not just looking for a home; she’s after a family who will match the commitment and care she’s received so far, and give her a place to finally settle in for good. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
