Professor Nikidik is a neutered senior male Affenpinscher/Terrier mix currently located in Pittsburg, CA. He weighs around 5 pounds and is up to date on his vaccinations. As a small dog with special needs due to his vision and dental history, he's suitable for adopters who can provide him with extra care and patience.

About Professor Nikidik

Professor Nikidik, known to friends as DOC, is a sprightly 8-year-old, 5-pound Affenpinscher-Terrier mix with a big personality packed into a tiny frame. After losing one eye to glaucoma, he's bounced back from surgery with his usual spunk. His recent dental procedure means he’s mostly toothless, but that doesn't slow his enthusiasm for treats or life. In true Affenpinscher fashion, he's bold and lively, with a selectively loyal streak—when Professor Nikidik adores you, he’s devoted, but new people may need to earn his trust (treats help). He does not enjoy being grabbed and would be happiest in a household with kids aged 12 and older. Professor Nikidik is working on his house training but isn’t perfect—he wears a belly band as insurance indoors and can be stubborn about going outside. Crate life isn't for him; he much prefers the back of a couch, keeping an eye on things. He’s food motivated, loves belly rubs, and is a dedicated shadow to his chosen person. He tolerates other dogs but prefers his own space; loud or unpredictable homes aren't his style. The Professor’s confidence hides a sensitive side, especially with his limited vision, and he needs an adopter with patience and experience. Someone who’s home much of the time will be rewarded with a quirky, loving constant companion. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
