About Athena
Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started. Athena is a smart and affectionate girl who has truly blossomed with patient care and loving attention. When rescued moments from euthanasia, she was very fearful, especially around men and new people, but through kindness she has learned to relax and trust. Today, Athena loves belly rubs, toys, grooming, baths, and car rides, and shows her good manners by being fully housebroken with excellent dog-door skills. She’s eager to please and knows basic commands, although she’d benefit from continued training, especially around newcomers and other animals. Athena can be reactive at first when people enter her home or yard, but she calms once she feels safe and knows she’s not threatened. She’s looking for a calm home where she can be the only pet and is given plenty of time to build trust. If you provide her with patience and care, Athena promises to reward you with unwavering loyalty and love. This could be the start of something paw-some.
