About Kevin
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Kevin’s time to shine has arrived, and this little guy has truly earned it. Kevin is a 2-year-old Yorkie mix weighing about 12 pounds, and after facing tough times, he’s more than ready to swap survival mode for the good life—he’s already developed a taste for comfort. This clever fellow is crate trained, and if taken outside regularly (with a gentle presence by his side), he’s happy to do his business. Because the world hasn’t always treated him kindly, Kevin feels safest inside; the great indoors is his true happy place. With a personality often described as a “cat in a dog’s body,” Kevin isn’t overly snuggly but loves to be near his person, sharing quiet moments in the same space. Independence is his forte, and he values simple luxuries—a cool room, a soft couch, and a cozy bed (preferably yours). Kevin enjoys playtime with other dogs his size, is well-mannered on leash, excellent in the car, and highly motivated by treats, which makes bonding and establishing routines a breeze. He’s non-destructive, respectful at home, and not one to create chaos. When he was rescued, Kevin suffered from hair loss and severe double cherry eye. Both eyes were treated surgically, and while one cherry eye returned, it doesn’t bother him or require additional care. His coat is making a beautiful comeback, and with regular grooming, he’ll only continue to flourish. If you seek a low-key, loyal companion who will become your quiet little shadow, Kevin may be exactly right for you. He craves a safe place to land and a gentle person to share life’s comforts. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
