About Harvey

Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Harvey is a 2-year-old Black Labrador Retriever mix with a truly sweet nature and an incredibly resilient spirit. Rescued after suffering a severe leg fracture, Harvey has shown nothing but kindness and hope, proving himself to be a gentle soul ready to embrace a new life. Each day starts with him gleefully wagging his tail and showing off adorable happy hops, purely excited to spend time by your side. He loves discovering the little joys that come with being safe and loved—whether it's savoring freeze-dried beef liver treats, stretching out on a cozy couch, or simply enjoying the feeling of belonging. Harvey has blended in beautifully with his foster’s resident dog and cat, and he greets new dogs with polite respect, tending to relax best around calm companions who give him his space. He’s nearly crate-trained, proven himself a wonderful house guest, and rarely barks—only offering a little protest when you leave, though he’s learning that you always come back. Still building his confidence, Harvey may find ordinary sights a bit startling, but he becomes braver every single day with encouragement and support. Whether he finds a family with another gentle pet or becomes someone's sole cuddle buddy, Harvey is ready to give all his affection and loyalty to the loving home that welcomes him.
