Hope
AvailableHope is a medium-sized, mixed breed adult female living in Lexington, KY. She is spayed and fully vaccinated. Hope is house trained and does well with both dogs and cats. Though she doesn’t have special needs, she would appreciate a quiet, stable home where she can keep coming out of her shell.
About Hope
Hope has lived through more than her share of hardship. She arrived at rescue in the middle of labor, and while not all of her puppies made it, the three that did have already landed their forever homes. Now it's Hope's turn to finally have some stability. Formerly called Lumi, she was renamed 'Hope' because that's what she needed most and what she holds onto. Hope is gentle, loving, and gravitates toward her people. She loves a good belly rub or time lounging nearby. Crate trained and housebroken, she's also used to living with both dogs and cats. Walks and playtime outside are highlights for her, especially if treats are on offer—she's eager to learn when snacks are involved. Despite her affectionate side, she still carries some shyness from her tougher days. Meeting strangers can be overwhelming, so she's cautious at first and may bark out of uncertainty. Give her some patience and space, and she starts to relax, showing her softer side. Hope will do best in an adult-only household with someone willing to continue building her trust. She has already made a lot of progress learning that the world can be safe and loving. All that's left is someone to believe in her and offer her that final sense of security.
