About Kaia
Kaia is a gentle 7-year-old, about 35lb, navigating life as a medium-sized Jindo mix. At first, she can be quite shy and nervous, taking her time to trust new people, but once she feels safe, she’s affectionate and craves cuddles and pets. Kaia lives with a pancreatic enzyme deficiency that caused weight loss and requires her to take enzyme concentrate medication at every meal—her adopter will need to be comfortable managing that. She’s generally friendly with small dogs and cats, though her initial excitement can be a lot; around bigger dogs and some men, she shows signs of fear-based aggression, so a calm, gentle environment works best. Kaia needs an adopter ready to move at her pace and help her keep building confidence with training and socialization. Kaia gets along with cats and is house trained, making her a loving prospect for the right person who has the patience and time for her needs. Give her a chance and she'll reward you with loyalty and sweetness. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
