About Pretty Penny

Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today. Penny is an adorable, quirky young girl searching for a loving forever home. Once found frightened and vulnerable on a busy Houston street, Penny has blossomed into a confident, charming companion. She sports a beautiful brindle coat reminiscent of a tigress, and her endearing personality shines through her expressive brown eyes. Her short, sturdy frame is just the right size, and though petite, she loves to play and can be quite the toy destroyer—be sure to stock up on durable chews! Penny has a unique vocal style that's a cross between a howl and a coo, and she isn't shy about sharing her opinions. She gets along very well with other dogs—both large and small—and is happiest when surrounded by her people and furry friends. Penny is house trained, enjoys lounging in her iconic "sploot" pose, and thrives on affection and attention. She’s even begun rolling on her back for belly rubs, a sure sign she’s building trust. Penny is spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, and has completed preventive heartworm treatment. Although she’s proven herself resilient and adaptable, a home that appreciates her playful spirit and loving heart would be ideal. She is currently fostered in Houston, TX, and eligible for transport within Texas or select out-of-state locations. Please note: Transport to the Northeast is temporarily suspended due to a recent respiratory illness in that area. Start your journey together! Apply now.
