About Zella
Zella and her siblings started life as strays in Opelika, Alabama, arriving at the shelter sick but lucky to get the care they desperately needed. With treatment and plenty of attention, Zella is now fully recovered and ready for her next chapter. Estimated to be a hound/beagle mix, possibly with some lab, boxer, or pittie, she’s medium-sized and weighs about 30 lbs at ten months old. Expect her to stay in that comfortable range as she matures. Zella is independent and always curious, happiest sniffing out new corners or hanging out with dog friends. She can entertain herself but also loves being part of the action. Walks are a highlight—once she sees the leash, her excitement is contagious. After a busy day, she’ll quietly put herself to bed in her crate, content to wind down on her own. She’s nearly house trained and quickly learning the routine. Because she tends to be a little shy meeting new people, Zella will do best with older, gentle children who give her space to warm up at her own pace. She is spayed, vaccinated, on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, and microchipped. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
