About Scamp

Meet Scamp, a three year old Shih Tzu/Terrier mix weighing 15 pounds. Scamp is a little guy with a lot of character—and an underbite and snaggle tooth that make him absolutely unforgettable. He came to us after being owner surrendered due to his owner’s health, as well as some nipping behavior around small children. Because of this, Scamp would do best in a home without young kids. He can be a bit nervous at first and will need some time, patience, and TLC to feel safe and comfortable. Once he settles in, his personality really starts to shine. His previous family shared that he was potty trained, and he does well walking on a leash. Scamp will also need regular grooming to keep him looking and feeling his best, which is a great opportunity to build trust and bond with him. With the right home—one that understands his needs and is willing to go at his pace—Scamp has the potential to be a loyal and loving companion. This pet is available for adoption on 5.1.26 at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center at 509-457-6854.
