Meet Jamie, an eight-year-old Border Collie mix weighing almost 50 pounds. Jamie is a gentle soul who’s ready to leave her past behind and settle into a life full of comfort and care. She came to Animal Control as an owner surrender alongside Cory, both in poor condition. Jamie has some missing fur and itchy, flaking skin from long-term untreated issues, but now that she’s receiving the care she deserves, we’re hopeful she’ll continue to heal and feel better each day. She’s also missing some of her front teeth, likely due to past trauma—possibly from trying to chew her way out of confinement. Even with everything she’s endured, Jamie remains incredibly sweet and soft-hearted. Jamie would thrive in a calm, loving "retirement" home where she can relax, feel safe, and be pampered. She wants to please, enjoys being near her people, and just needs a little extra TLC as she adjusts to a new life. She keeps a clean kennel, is a great medium size, and has a quiet, easy presence that makes her a wonderful companion. Jamie would love to be adopted with Cory if possible, as they’ve shared so much together—but it’s not required.
