About Mira

Mira came into rescue after being found as a stray in the Central Valley, arriving emaciated and in rough shape. She was diagnosed with diabetes and, due to her medical needs, landed on the euthanasia list at the shelter. Thanks to the quick action of a volunteer experienced with diabetic dogs, Mira is now safe in foster care receiving her treatments and learning to thrive again. Nearly blind, she adapts with remarkable bravery, relying on her people and trusting them to guide her through new surroundings. Mira gets along well with other dogs, is still figuring out cats, and is friendly with children. She’s a sharp, cheerful dog who craves attention and believes she’s meant for lap living. Mira has a gentle soul and is looking for a home that can offer her safety, affection, and the care she needs. Your new best friend is just one click away.
