Vegas and Safari are a tightly bonded pair who have spent every stage of life together—playing, napping, and eating as a duo. Ideally, they should stay together in their next home. Neither dog has ever shown aggression or biting, and both play nicely with humans (including babies) and other dogs. They do have a strong prey drive, though, and are likely to chase after cats or anything small and fast, so a cat-free household is safest. Both girls are house-trained and do well on leash after the first burst of excitement; they do best with active owners who love hiking or long walks. They’re healthy and are not spayed. Their favorite food is Lamb-flavored Costco kibble. Vegas, about 4 years old and weighing around 60 lbs, is a suspected German Shepherd–Rottweiler mix with loyal and protective instincts. She loves long games of fetch and chews through tough toys quickly; she bonds closely with her people and can get a bit anxious when bored. Safari, age 3 and weighing about 50 lbs, is a mini Husky/Malamute who’s endlessly friendly, especially with children, and loves to wrestle and chase. She’s a notorious escape artist, so you’ll want to keep her on leash or secure. Leave her unsupervised too long and she’ll look for something to chew.
