About Winter
Winter is a little 9 lb, 4-year-old Bichon Frise who wants nothing more than a home to call her own. After being rescued from a commercial breeder, she’s getting used to the good life and learning how to trust. She’ll need a fenced-in yard, secured all the way to the ground; she’s a crafty escape artist and knows how to slip under a fence. Leashes make her anxious and she’ll try to chew out, so time for exploring outside should be in a safe space. Winter is not a fan of crates—she’ll go to great lengths to get out—so a home able to let her stay loose or gated in a cozy area is best. When left alone, Winter isn’t destructive and will happily nap or cuddle up with the other dogs in the home. She’s looking for a mellow, affectionate family, ideally with at least one other calm, confident dog and a female in the house to help her feel secure. Men are starting to earn her trust too, but she relaxes fastest with women. Winter is gentle, thrives around low-key energy, and lives for snuggles. Her right hip has some mild degenerative changes shown on X-ray, meaning she prefers lounging over long walks. She’ll also need her meals softened as she’s missing a few teeth. If you want a devoted, cuddly companion, Winter is waiting in Sinking Spring, PA. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
