Azzie

About Azzie
Azzie has packed a lot of living into just a few years. He bounced back from a tough start—hit by a car, a long recovery, and then some bad luck with bladder stones. Now thriving in foster care, Azzie helps new foster dogs settle in, welcoming them with his high-energy spirit. Play is his language. Azzie will toss toys on his own and would love a partner who’s up for daily walks, hikes, or adventures in the park. He’s outdoorsy, happiest exploring by your side, and always ready for a new game. For all his little-dog size, his personality fills the room. He might be shy at first, but give him a little time and you'll have a fiercely loyal, loving sidekick. Azzie uses pee pads reliably, but house training is tricky because of prescription urinary food, which he’ll need for life. He drinks more and needs to pee more, a common tradeoff for keeping him healthy. He gets along with most dogs and is good with respectful children, but cats are just too tempting for him—he can't resist a chase. At night, expect him curled up on your legs or tucked in by your side. He’s warm, quirky, and wants to be part of the action. Azzie just needs a family willing to give him a chance and a bit of time to settle in. Get ready for a playful, affectionate pup with a big personality who’s overcome a lot and is ready for his next adventure. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
