About Almondin Va

They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Meet Almond, a 3 to 4-year-old Miniature Schnauzer with natural ears and a docked tail. With a beautiful white coat and hints of chocolate, Almond is ready to be your loving companion. Currently weighing about 19 pounds, Almond is neutered and microchipped, with all vaccinations up to date and a heart-worm negative status. Before adoption, he will be thoroughly evaluated by his foster mom in Roanoke, Virginia to ensure he transitions smoothly into his forever home. Almond is house-broken, crate trained, leash trained, and knows basic commands such as "sit," "lay down," "go potty," and "go to bed." He had a loving bond with his original human mom but struggled with changes in the family dynamics after her marriage and the arrival of a child, which sometimes led to aggression in the home. Because of this, Almond is best suited to an all-female home where he can receive plenty of attention as a cherished family companion. He enjoys the company of other dogs and is comfortable around cats. Almond deserves a loving environment where he can truly belong. Once Almond is released for adoption, he'll have undergone all necessary vet care, and the date will be set by the rescue’s core team. If you're interested in welcoming Almond into your home, you should be willing to drive to Roanoke, Virginia to meet and pick him up after approval. Please note, this rescue typically adopts to homes within NC, SC, TN, and VA, and your application will need to be approved by their placement team before a meeting can be arranged.
