Sweet Sam Shepherd is a mellow, gentle soul with a calm presence. He’s bright, picks things up quickly, and doesn’t hesitate to make friends in the play yard. Sam gets along well with other dogs, showing a patient and easygoing nature during group time. One challenge for Sam: he’s blind in one eye and will need the eye removed soon due to pain. Sam is looking for a foster home where he can rest and recuperate post-surgery. Until he is neutered, he’s available through Sammie’s Friends’ foster-to-adopt program, which is open to people in and around Nevada County.
