About Sam Shepherd
Sweet Sam Shepherd is a mellow, gentle soul with a calm presence. He’s bright, picks things up quickly, and doesn’t hesitate to make friends in the play yard. Sam gets along well with other dogs, showing a patient and easygoing nature during group time. One challenge for Sam: he’s blind in one eye and will need the eye removed soon due to pain. Sam is looking for a foster home where he can rest and recuperate post-surgery. Until he is neutered, he’s available through Sammie’s Friends’ foster-to-adopt program, which is open to people in and around Nevada County. Once his procedure is complete, he’ll be ready for permanent adoption. Sam is not yet house trained. Adoption includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip, and parasite prevention.
