About Iggy

Lets make it official, apply to adopt! Say hello to Iggy, an 8-week-old schnoberman—a unique and petite mix of schnauzer and Doberman—ready for his forever home. Iggy is one of five lively, well-socialized puppies who arrived at the shelter through an accidental litter. Just as you’d expect from a puppy his age, Iggy is a playful busybody with lots of energy and curiosity. He and his siblings have been around a 15-year-old child in a previous home, and their friendly nature shines through. Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter is currently participating in the Empty the Shelters event, which is helping make adoptions affordable and accessible. Plus, each new dog adoption includes a $200 training voucher known as “Pawsitivity Bucks” to jumpstart positive reinforcement training and help you build a lifelong bond with your new pup. Shelter visiting hours are daily from 11 am to 6 pm, with the last opportunity for “meet and greets” at 4:30 pm. Arrive before 4:00 pm to have time to discuss a particular pet and spend quality time getting to know them outside the kennel. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
