About Redkin
Meet Redkin, a striking young orange tabby who came from a tough background and is slowly starting to explore the world on her own terms. She’s about seven months old and was trapped in a place unsafe for cats, which has left her a bit wary of people. Redkin bonds closely with her foster siblings and shows her playful, curious side when she’s around other cats, but she still prefers to keep her distance with humans, observing more than engaging. She spends time out and about now, gradually growing braver each day. Redkin’s ideal home doesn’t have small children—she’d do best somewhere calm and steady, with another playful cat to help her build confidence. She isn’t house trained yet, but being a young, smart cat, she’s well on her way with patient guidance. Health-wise, Redkin is negative for FIV/FELV and has received her feline distemper and rabies vaccinations. She’s not yet spayed, so planning for that will be important. Born October 28, she is a Scorpio—no wonder she’s so independent and quietly intense. If you’re ready to give Redkin the time and understanding a cautious cat needs, she could flourish with you. Questions about Redkin
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Redkin, as a Domestic Medium Hair cat, adjusts well to most home settings, though she will feel safest in a quiet, low-chaos environment. Indoor living is ideal, where she can explore safely without the hazards she faced in the past.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Redkin is happiest as an indoor cat, with cozy spots for lounging and the occasional sunny window. She doesn't require outdoor space, and keeping her inside reduces risks she already knows too well.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Redkin’s breed is generally adaptable, but Redkin herself would not do well in a home with small children. Her shy nature and preference for a calm household mean older, respectful kids or an adult-only home suits her best.
