Avery’s journey began outside at an apartment complex, where a kind resident started feeding her and, upon discovering she had kittens, reached out for help. As a young feral mama, Avery spent months avoiding people and keeping her distance. With a gentle approach and help from the Feral to Friendly program, Avery gradually began to open up and blossom into a more social kitty. She has learned that people can bring wonderful things like tasty treats and soft, reassuring pets. Avery has now become a favorite among volunteers. While she remains a bit shy and reserved, once she trusts you, she genuinely enjoys affection and attention. Avery will do best in a peaceful, quiet home, ideally without children or dogs. She’ll thrive with another friendly cat companion who can help her feel safe and more confident—ask about a great match for her at the Adoption Center! Although she’s still finding her stride, Avery continues to make amazing progress and is ready for her next chapter in a loving forever home.
