About Loki
Loki's life changed fast when he lost his person, and the past is mostly a blank for those at the shelter. What stands out right away, though, is his sweetness. When you give him attention, Loki leans in and almost melts—scratches on his hindquarters are his favorite currency. Offer those and he’s yours. He has a true fondness for toys and treats, sometimes a bit too much. Because his enthusiasm can get the best of him, especially with treats, Loki isn’t the best fit for a home with small kids. He’s learning manners, but excitement often wins out over patience. Loki is kennel trained, and when it comes to other dogs he mostly keeps to himself. He won’t stir up trouble, but don’t expect a social butterfly—he’s content doing his own thing. After losing his person, Loki needs a steady, safe place more than anything. He’s ready to be seen, and ready for a person who values loyalty and a strong bond. If you’ve been waiting for a dog who’s both handsome and affectionate, Loki could be your match.
