Born on April 1, he shares the spontaneous spirit of an Aries, always up for play and adventure.
About Archer
Archer’s the kind of dog who makes even hardened rescuers believe in second chances. This goofy, loving guy brings pure joy to his foster home and has a knack for happiness that’s impossible to ignore. He’s friendly, sweet, and respectful with his toys—hasn’t even thought about tearing one up. Fully house trained, not a single accident, and he loves other dogs when introduced the right way. Archer greets dog friends with kisses and exuberant invitations to play (he’s especially fond of his foster brother, Tango, and will go all-in trying to coax him into grass-rolling playtime). He’ll keep you entertained: Archer’s a big fan of running around the yard, showing off impressive jumps, rolling in the grass, and enthusiastically snapping at any flying bug that dares venture close. At 47 pounds and with medium-to-high energy, he’ll do best with people who can keep him busy and active. He’s happiest with someone who loves playing and cuddling in equal measure, and if you scratch his neck just right, prepare to be rewarded with adorable pig grunts. Archer pulls on the leash and can be a bit of a “bump into your legs” type on walks, so he still needs training, especially for those strong-dog moments. He’s a clever escape artist and can scale a baby gate, so a flat panel fence is a must. Thunderstorms aren’t his favorite—understandable, given rough treatment in his past—but even so, he’s never shown a hint of aggression to people. Instead, he seeks comfort by quietly collecting shoes, not to chew but to keep close to his person’s scent. Archer’s only missing piece is a foster or adopter who’ll give him the structure and guidance he needs to reach his full potential. His signature happiness and sweet nature deserve a family as wholehearted as he is. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
