Meet Dr. Robby! Yes, that Dr. Robby... named after the iconic character from The Pitt but this version comes in a much smaller, cuter package. Weighing in at just 8 pounds, Dr. Robby is a lanky Chihuahua mix with comically large ears that seem to have a personality of their own. This little guy was found as a stray in Philadelphia and brought to ACCT Philly, where shelter life made him understandably nervous. Since moving into foster care, though, Dr. Robby has been starting to show his true colors and they're pretty adorable. In his foster home, Dr. Robby is settling in nicely and revealing himself to be a silly, entertaining companion. He's loves to snuggle and play with his squeaky toys. He's great on leash and in the car. He's very food motivated and working on training goals (i.e. crate training, potty training, etc.). He's got that classic small-dog charm: a little stubborn, a little opinionated, and very devoted to his people. He can be a bit protective at times, so he'll do best with someone who understands and appreciates the quirks that come with tiny dogs with big personalities. Dr. Robby is dog-friendly and currently living with cats. While he's learning to coexist, he can be a bit barky with them-he just likes to make sure everyone knows he's on duty. He's looking for a forever home that will give him patience, structure, and lots of love as he continues to build confidence.
